About The CNY DJ Association
The CNYDJA is a group of DJs and Disc Jockey business owners in the Central New York region. Our group is comprised of DJs and MCs with many different backgrounds and specialties, from radio to weddings, nightclub/bars, private parties etc.
Our unnoficial mission/goal is to foster a collaborative, non-competitive network of DJs in CNY with a focus on bettering their services, business skills, and performances in the interest of raising the bar for our industry and our clients.
Each month we meet to network, build friendships, and watch a presenter on any number of relevent subjects. Past presentations include: Building your business with Social Media, Toastmasters Intl., Uplighting, How to capture great images for your blog, Navigating Club/Wedding business and more.
Our Meetings
A typical meeting begins around 7:00pm with saying hellos, networking and introductions for any new members, after which we begin a presentation. Each month a different member will either arrange for a presenter/speaker to cover a subject of interest, or present themselves. New members are welcome to come and simply sit-in. Attendees are expected to buy their own meal off the menu.
